Hospitality property risks, notably large placements with schedules of more than $1bn, remain “exceptionally challenging” to place in the current hardening market environment, according to Amwins.

In a Q1 market report, the wholesale broker said property placements with unusual risk profiles are receiving a high degree of scrutiny from underwriters, who are currently mandating tighter wordings and all-other-perils and water damage deductibles.
