North American renewables need larger deductibles to remain insurable: GCube

North American solar and wind risks should have larger deductibles, sub-limits and different terms compared to the international market in order to remain an “insurable risk”, according to renewable energy MGA GCube.

According to a report written by the MGA, North America is “particularly exposed” to natural catastrophes and extreme weather, losses from which have been increasing in frequency and severity over the past decade.
