Chubb reveals $65-per-share bid for The Hartford

Chubb on Thursday confirmed that it has submitted a bid to acquire The Hartford for $65 per share.

In a statement issued after close of markets, Chubb said it believed the deal would be “strategically and financially compelling” for both sets of shareholders and other constituencies.
