Global Indemnity recruits Westchester’s Charlton to be CEO of insurance ops

Pennsylvania-based specialty carrier Global Indemnity has named Chubb executive David Charlton CEO for its insurance operations, filling a role that had been vacant since the retirement of former CEO Cindy Valko at the end of January.

Charlton, who has already taken up the post, has also joined Global Indemnity’s board of directors and will oversee a portfolio of companies that includes Penn-America Group, United National Group, Diamond State Group, American Reliable Insurance Company and Collectibles...
