SiriusPoint grows UW income in first quarterly results after merger

SiriusPoint posted higher underwriting income in the first quarter than a year ago and lowered its combined ratio to 96.6% from 98.6% in what was a heavy cat quarter for the industry.

The Bermuda-based specialty company said it generated $1.05 a share in net income for the first three months, a sharp improvement from the combined $1.99
