Walnut Creek-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers has formed a private equity and M&A practice, which will be co-led by practice leader Tom Kashickey and director of operations Rob Jevens, the company announced.

Kashickey joins the broker after a five-year stint at Ironshore’s San Francisco office and an 11-year career at AIG.
