Farmers partners with InsurTech Zesty.ai to write more California homeowners policies

Farmers Insurance is expanding wildfire coverage for California homeowners now that it has state approval to use artificial intelligence (AI) in its underwriting process.

The carrier will work with InsurTech Zesty.ai to incorporate high-resolution aerial imagery, building-material and code data and location details into its risk assessments for properties in wildfire-prone areas.
