DeSantis vetoes move to jack up Florida auto state minimum to $25,000

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has vetoed a bill that would have raised the Sunshine State’s minimum auto insurance coverage level from $10,000 to $25,000, in a blow to a measure passed by the legislature that the industry has claimed would have raised rates for consumers.

Logan McFaddin, a lobbyist for the American Property & Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), applauded DeSantis’s use of his veto power over the legislation.
