Texas surplus lines rise 24.5% to hit record $947mn in June

Insurance agents in Texas funneled a record $947mn of premiums into the surplus lines market in June, an increase of 24.5% over June 2020, according to data from the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas (SLTX).

June premiums exceeded May 2021 by $63mn to become the highest single month ever reported in SLTX’s 33-year history.
