Validus chief risk officer Brant Kizer has resigned, sources said, confirming the expectation that there would be further departures from the reinsurer after retention incentives connected to the AIG acquisition vested recently. 

Kizer had worked at the reinsurer for nearly 10 years, since February 2012. Initially he was vice president of group risk, taking on the chief risk officer role in 2013.
