Reinsurers posted strong results this quarter, thanks in part to remarkable top-line growth and relatively low cat losses.

According to Aon, estimated U.S. catastrophe losses for the first half of 2021 are $30bn for the industry, in line with the notably low first half of 2020 ($28bn).
