Greenlight Re’s financial ratings outlook was upgraded to “stable” by AM Best on Friday, with the ratings agency citing improved operating performance as a rationale for the move.

Underwriting has improved at the hedge fund-backed total return reinsurer, including the delivery of a nearly $5mn underwriting profit in the second quarter, which was announced earlier this week.
