Argo has agreed to sell the renewal rights of its contract binding property and casualty business to Mesa Underwriters Specialty Insurance Company, Selective’s excess and surplus lines (E&S) subsidiary.

The move is Argo’s latest step to remediate or exit business lines where it hasn’t been able to achieve scale or pricing targets.
