German regulator probes Allianz on events leading to Alpha Funds losses: reports

Germany’s financial regulator BaFin is investigating Allianz over the events that caused investor losses across its Structured Alpha Funds, according to a Reuters report.

The report stated that BaFin’s probe includes multiple departments of the institution, as officials examine the extent to which Allianz executives outside the fund division knew what was happening in the lead-up to the losses.
