Ambac’s Everspan buys Providence Washington Insurance

Ambac’s fronting company Everspan has acquired Enstar’s subsidiary Providence Washington Insurance (PWIC) as part of its strategy to launch new admitted programs and expand its products portfolio.

Terms of the transaction, effective October 1, were not disclosed.

Rhode Island-based Providence Washington, which was incorporated in 1799, holds certificates of authority in 47 additional states and territories.
