InsurTech Cover Whale secures over $15mn seed funding

Cover Whale Insurance Solutions, an InsurTech MGA specializing in the commercial auto market, has raised $15.5mn in a funding round led by Ambac Financial Group and TigerRisk Partners' subsidiary Applied Financial Technologies.

Founder and CEO Dan Abrahamsen said the seed funding will enable Cover Whale to invest further in its tech-enabled proprietary platform and to continue attracting “a team of top industry talent".
