RLI estimates $30mn-$35mn in Q3 cat losses

Illinois-based specialty carrier RLI said on Wednesday it expects to record between $30mn and $35mn in catastrophe losses when it discloses third-quarter results later this month.

The figures include claims from Hurricane Ida, which industry observers have estimated to cost between $25bn and $35bn in insured damages.
