AM Best has confirmed its ‘A’ financial strength rating (FSR) for AIG and its property-casualty subsidiaries and affirmed their stable outlook.

The rating agency also said it doesn’t expect AIG’s planned separation of its life and retirement business to have an impact on its rating in the short term.
