Howden looks set to hold off opposition from Brown & Brown and PIB to clinch the transaction for Peter Blanc-led broker Aston Lark.

Howden is on the cusp of sealing its third major acquisition in 12 months, and its biggest to date, with the company close to a deal to acquire Aston Lark for ~£1.1bn-£1.2bn
