Kemper expects $30mn-$35mn in Q3 cat losses attributed to Ida

Specialty insurer Kemper Corporation expects to report between $30mn and $35mn in pre-tax catastrophe losses on October 28 when it discloses its third-quarter results.

The Chicago-headquartered carrier attributed those losses to Hurricane Ida, which made landfall in Louisiana last month, and to other wind events.
