Ransomware payments down 32 percentage points amid stronger protections: Corvus

The rate of ransomware payments made relative to demands shrank from 44% in Q3 2020 to 12% by Q3 2021, a study by Boston-based InsurTech MGA Corvus has found.

According to the initial Corvus Risk Insights Index, the number of payments fell due to more robust backup strategies, which include better-protected internal and offsite backups.
