Outgoing Alleghany CEO Hicks to continue as consultant after retirement

Outgoing Alleghany CEO Weston Hicks has entered into a consulting agreement with the (re)insurer for services primarily related to investments and M&A strategic opportunities, after his announced retirement date.

The executive will receive a $3.5mn bonus and a $50,000 per month consulting fee in 2022, renewable for additional one-year terms, the company said in a regulatory filing.
