Greenwich-based specialty carrier WR Berkley has hired construction market heavyweight Andy Robinson to launch a new construction solutions unit that will focus on writing excess liability coverage.

Robinson, who has 40 years of industry experience and also held senior posts at AIG, Marsh and Travelers, will serve as the new division’s president.
