Legacy firm Fortitude Re forms Bermuda reinsurer and buys US platform for growth

Legacy acquirer Fortitude Re has formed a new Bermuda multi-line reinsurer, Fortitude International Reinsurance (FIRL), as it aims to expand internationally.

Effective from 1 January 2022, FIRL will focus on reinsurance solutions for insurers domiciled outside the US.
