Axa XL has promoted Thisiani Matsumura-Martins to global chief underwriting officer for its aerospace practice effective April 1.

Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the executive will oversee the carrier’s aerospace underwriting strategy and report to Nancy Bewlay, Axa’s global CUO.
