The Hartford has promoted Richard Vaughn to head of global specialty distribution, a role in which he will oversee the carrier’s distribution strategy and sales operations across its specialty lines unit.

The executive has held various roles since joining The Hartford in February 2002, including commercial lines underwriter, middle market underwriter and assistant vice president for the insurer’s southern division in Alpharetta, Georgia.
