The CEO of mid-market broker Brown & Brown told Wall Street analysts on Tuesday that the company had its best year of organic growth since the early 2000s, but that a variety of headwinds from both the economy and insurance market conditions will make its success in 2021 difficult to duplicate.

On Monday, Brown & Brown said it grew organic revenues in the fourth quarter by 9% overall – an acceleration from its 8.5%
