AM Best has released a methodology to assess the performance of delegated underwriting authority enterprises – a blanket term for entities such as MGAs, MGUs and coverholders.

The criteria the ratings agency announced on Tuesday is intended to provide a forward-looking, independent and objective non-credit opinion indicative of a DUAE’s relative ability to perform services on behalf of its insurance partners, the statement said.
