Global cat leader RenaissanceRe moved its catastrophe reinsurance book out of Lloyd’s at 1 January, dramatizing the challenges that Lime Street has around persuading global carriers to use its platform.

Sources have said that the portfolio was small, particularly in the context of RenRe’s overall $2.2bn catastrophe book, and reflected the continuous optimization the group undertakes.
