Vantage buys admitted carrier after $200mn capital injection from Carlyle, H&F

Bermuda start-up (re)insurer Vantage has purchased an admitted lines carrier to accelerate the build-out of its US insurance operations following a $200mn capital injection from existing private equity-backers Carlyle and Hellman & Friedman.

The new entity, which will be known as Vantage Risk Assurance Company, was previously known as Heritage Casualty Insurance Company and was bought from Union Life Fidelity Company.
