Donegal Insurance Group's Q4 2021 combined ratio worsened by 5.4 points to 101.6%, driven by higher auto claim frequency and severity as driving activity increased and inflation pressured loss costs.

The carrier reported a 63.8% drop in operating income to $4.2mn, or $0.14 per share, from $11.6mn, or $0.39
