St Johns Insurance Company has lost its ‘A’ Exceptional rating from Demotech, as the wider Florida primary market confronts persistent high levels of litigation, loss inflation and rising reinsurance costs.

St Johns’ rating was withdrawn after the firm’s anticipated results for the full-year 2021 fell short of requirements to maintain it, Joseph Petrelli, president at Demotech told this publication.
