Root’s Q4 auto policies in force shrink along with its workforce

Root’s Q4 auto policies in force shrunk 7% to 354,000 compared to 380,000 at the end of Q3, as the effects of its workforce termination and underwriting remediation work manifested in its figures.

Root also disclosed that its chief product officer, Hemal Shah, has notified the company of his intention to resign, effective March 18.
