Wholesale broker Amwins has named Gary Ricker as its new Northeast region construction practice leader, based in New York.

The executive's appointment follows almost five years working as an executive vice president at Amwins.

Ricker joined the Charlotte-headquartered wholesaler in June 2010, serving as a branch manager based in New York.
