Root has appointed Beth Birnbaum, former chief operating officer at PlayFab, to its board of directors, effective March 1.

Birnbaum’s experience spans more than 20 years in product, business operations, sales, marketing and strategy at technology companies such as GrubHub, where she served as senior vice president of product.
