Downstream energy market ‘begins to turn in buyer’s favor’: WTW

After three years of “uncomfortable” rate increases for downstream energy insurance buyers, the “tide has finally begun to turn in the buyer’s favor”, according to a WTW report.

In its 2022 Energy Market Review, the intermediary noted that as of Q2 this year, more capacity has been deployed in the downstream energy market, following a period characterized by moderate losses and improved profitability for carriers.
