While it’s natural for a company to ask what the return on investment for developing resiliency is, to Aon CEO Greg Case, that question misses a big part of the point, which is being prepared for long-term risks.

“If you think about resilience as a defensive capability, we have to protect the house. That's important, and that's one way to go,” Case said in an interview with McKinsey.
