Segments of the specialty reinsurance market are proving “very challenging” for reinsurance buyers following the impact of the Ukraine war, according to Guy Carpenter CEO Dean Klisura.

Speaking on Marsh McLennan’s earnings call after the broker’s Q1 results were released, the executive said that some segments, especially in London, have “really been impacted” by the Ukraine war, including terrorism, war, political violence, marine and aviation.
