Marsh McLennan has taken a $30mn charge from settlement charges and legal costs “related to strategic recruiting,” according to the company’s Q1 financial results.

The firm didn’t disclose the number of cases that were settled during the first quarter of the year but reported that the total legal claims incurred charge related to its risk and insurance services division.
