The need for small businesses to obtain specialty coverage provides an opportunity for agents to explain the areas where they face growing risk, according to The Hanover Insurance Group’s 2022 Small Business Risk report.

Agents typically work with small business owners to address traditional risks such as workers’ compensation, property and general liability, the report said, but as the small business landscape has changed and become more complex, coverage needs have also changed.
