Workers’ comp InsurTech Pie Insurance has expanded its operations into Alabama and Oregon, increasing the company’s coverage footprint to 38 states and Washington, DC.

The announcement comes on the heels of Pie having more than doubled its gross written premium in Q1 this year, as it increased its annualized run rate premium to nearly $300mn over the first four months of 2022.
