AM Best withdraws Floridian Capacity Insurance's rating after carrier opts out

AM Best has downgraded and withdrawn the financial strength rating of Capacity Insurance Company to C++ from B, with a negative outlook, after the Floridian carrier opted out of having an AM Best rating.

The ratings agency also cut and withdrew the Sunrise, Florida-based insurer’s long-term issuer credit rating to “b” from “bb+”, also with a negative outlook.
