Securities class action filings may drop 7% this year: Woodruff Sawyer

The downward trend of securities class actions against public companies is expected to continue in 2022, with the annual filings projected to drop by 7% this year, Woodruff Sawyer said.

According to the firm’s mid-year report, 85 suits were filed in the first half of 2022, for an average of 14 cases filings per month.
