Chubb lifts loss trend in North America to 6.5% in anticipation of rising costs

Chubb CEO Evan Greenberg said he is “mindful of the world and the conditions in which we live”, naming inflation, the specter of recession, the Ukraine-Russia war and global food security problems as challenging factors.

Speaking on the commercial carrier’s Q2 earnings call, Greenberg told analysts that Chubb increased its loss cost trend assumption in North America to 6.5%
