Intact CFO Louis Marcotte disclosed that personal auto severity and frequency inflated the company's underlying loss ratio in Q2, with the overall combined ratio also under pressure from elevated cat property losses.

On a call with analysts, COO Patrick Barbeau added that Intact saw part prices increase, with inflation in part costs in the high teens.
