The Hanover Group’s combined ratio for the year’s second quarter worsened by 1.8 points to 96.2% as the company faced higher losses in its homeowners’ and personal auto lines.

The personal lines unit reported a combined ratio of 103.2%, marking a 5.6-point deterioration from the 97.6% CoR reported in the prior-year quarter.
