Hedge fund reinsurer Greenlight Re’s second quarter loss ratio dropped over 10 points to 55.2% fueled by improvements in its three divisions – property, casualty and specialty.

The company’s casualty Q2 loss ratio fell 11.6 points to 64.6% and its specialty loss ratio decreased 7.4 points to 37.4%,
