Root’s Q2 auto policies in force shrank 20.3% to 297,716 compared with 373,721 a year earlier, as the company reduced its marketing spend and slowed new business growth amid what it called “one of the most difficult periods for auto insurers in decades".
The Insurtech reported an operating loss of $0.36 per share for Q2 2022, compared with the $0.72 loss reported in Q2 2021.
