Root’s ‘laser focus’ on profitability will improve H2 operating losses: CFO Bateman

Root CFO Rob Bateman has said that operating losses in the second half of 2022 will be “substantially lower” compared with last year, as the company focuses on loss ratio improvement in the next two quarters rather than top-line growth.

During a conference call with analysts, Bateman said that Root is “laser focused on profitability and [on] getting our loss ratios to the point where we feel that growth is prudent.”
