Zurich NA H1 ex-cat CoR drops 2.6 points to 84.7% as book reposition continues

Zurich North America improved its core combined ratio in the first half of the year by 2.6 points to 84.7%, as the carrier benefitted from the earn-through of its rate increases.

Zurich NA, which contributed 39% of the group’s net earned premium January through June, was a key driver of the company’s overall H1 performance – boosting its P&C business operating profits by 32% to more than $2.05bn.
